Birds of Ohio Field Guide

Synopsis: Each of the 114 ID's in this book includes a vivid color photo of both the male and female of the species, common name, scientific name, range map, size, plumage discription for both male, female, and juveniles, nesting information, feeding information, and a comparison between similar species along with notes on the species from the author.

My Rating:  This book is much more helpful than most field guides because of the fact that every bird in the book is common in Ohio. Also, this guide is sorted by color, which makes it easy to quickly flip to a distinctly colored bird, such as a Baltimore Oriole. The first pages of the book include helpful information about birds, such as a bird diagram, common nest types, etc. It is also helpful because each species has a photo of the male, female, variational plumage, and somtimes, the juvenile.
